Ages. Every program here accepts at least part of the preschoolers range (ages 3–5); the list leads with the classes built for this age and finishes with those that only touch it at the edge.
Where the open spots are. By neighborhood, the most golf lessons and clinics for preschoolers with open registration today are in Upper East Side (13 open), Chelsea (4 open), and Battery Park City (2 open). Neighborhood counts change daily as providers open and close sessions.
Kids' golf in NYC starts around age 4 or 5 with junior-sized clubs and foam or low-flight balls, in clinics that cover grip, stance and a simple swing through games. From about age 7, programs move to driving ranges and short courses, and the more serious tracks add on-course play and competition. Sessions are usually an hour; indoor simulator programs run year-round, while range and course programs are seasonal. Clubs are provided for beginners at nearly every program, so a first clinic needs nothing but sneakers. Ages 3 to 5 is where most programs start taking children without a caregiver in the room: classes stretch to 45 minutes, follow a set structure, and begin teaching real technique. Separation is the main adjustment for a child new to classes; many providers allow a parent to watch from the side for the first few sessions.
19 of the 21 golf lessons and clinics for preschoolers we track across NYC are open for registration as of Oct 28, 2026. Status is read from each provider's own registration system every morning.
The typical listed price is $75, and most of the 15 priced programs fall between $75 and $103. Prices are as published by each provider and may cover one session, a month or a full term.
Usually yes, if the child's age falls inside the range the provider publishes. On this page the classes built specifically for ages 3–5 are listed first; those that only overlap the edge of the range come last, so check the age chip on each card.
Today the most open golf lessons and clinics for preschoolers are in Upper East Side (13 open), Chelsea (4 open), and Battery Park City (2 open). These counts are recomputed every morning.
The largest by number of programs are 92NY (11), Asphalt Green (6), and Chelsea Piers (4). 3 providers in total have golf lessons and clinics for preschoolers listed across NYC.
